I am not ignoring the obvious | December 29, 2005

In case everyone is starting to think I am a bad TV goddess for not yet mentioning midseason replacements, just wait. That is what my column this week is about and it's detailed and long and maybe a little bit bossy. In other words, it will be exactly the guide you need to make it through the midseason without dying from TV overload or without missing the good shows (it would be easy to do).

I will give you a teaser, though, by telling you that, despite the controversy, The Book of Daniel is the midseason's (and probably the season's) best new drama.

I wanted to warn everyone, though, that because my column is written for Alaska time, you can assume that in your time zone everything I talk about will air an hour later than what I write in my column (if it's on this site, I will use the regular airings, but for the column, it's obviously Alaska time only!) except for UPN. Don't ask me why, but UPN shows air at the same time in Alaska as everywhere else.

If you are dying to know about the midseason shows, though, and cannot wait until my column publishes on Friday, you can read about the offerings from other writers here or here (you might have to scroll until you find the Dec. 2 entry) or here. I will warn you, though, to read those at your own risk. They may or may not agree with my own take and therefore they may or may not lead you astray (which I, of course, never would do).

D,
Have you watched Bedford Diaries? SO GOOD. I did a review on it last August (http://donutshoppe.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_donutshoppe_archive.html) and I can't wait until WB actually shows it. I think it's better than Felicity. (I know, sacrilege, huh?)

I think it comes out in March though...
