Reality | January 16, 2006

You have not seen reality like this unless you've lived it.

Intervention is heartbreaking and more real than most viewers probably can stomach.

But if you've ever known an addict, or been one, or think you could become one, this is something you should watch. Heck, it's something you should watch anyway. If you don't already know firsthand, you're guaranteed to learn something about addiction and what it actually does to addicts and their families.

Do you have any episodes in your TiVo? Because you could throw them ona tape for me, if you'd like. I haven't watched any episodes yet, but I've wanted to since I first heard about it.

I watched it once. I liked it but also found it incredibly frustrating. It was the one with the blonde guy that was a major alcoholic and he lived on the streets with his girlfriend. His family had an intervention and threatened to get rid of his dog or something. Have you seen Danny Bonaduce publicly sorting out his addiction issues on VH1? So bizarre...

I just finished reading "A million little pieces" what a good book. I really liked how he dealt with it.. and at the end he says what happens to all the people he was around... sad... I wanted to cry for him.. but I wonder about this show... is it AA and the 12 steps? cause I dont agree with that. But its good to have a chance to get better.

I've seen this show quite a few times and it's just haunting. Some of the episodes are super intense to watch. I find myself actually sweating.

Adn then some of the people just bug the crap out of me. I mean, who are these people and who are their families that are putting up with their crap!?

Never heard of this show, seems like I am missing out.

Are you going to watch that show coming in March called "Black.White"? Ice Cube is a producer, about race relations.

Families change races utilizing radical make-up, looking very interesting. The other thing is the families when they are not made actually live togeher in the same home for like 6 weeks. Lots of stuff are going to happen on that show for sure.
