Where are my shows? | February 03, 2006

Sorry for the many posts today, but none are too long, so I trust you can get through them all.

Since the announcement of the CW, one of my favorite shows has barely been mentioned. Except by me, of course, here (under "Five Shows to watch...") and here. Well, now, according to Ask Ausiello at TV Guide:

I have some really depressing news on that subject, but first some much-needed good news: WB announced Tuesday that Everwood will return to its original Monday time period next month, beginning with a two-hour episode on March 20. (Supernatural heads to Thursdays after Smallville — a much better fit, if you ask me.) Now, back to the bad news: According to one of my industry moles, an early draft of CW's fall schedule is making the rounds in Hollywood, and Everwood is not on it. Now, that doesn't mean it won't be back next season, but it's certainly proof that TV's most underappreciated drama series is fighting for its life.

And, on another frustrating scheduling note (about another show on an extra-long hiatus), I'm sure you've all heard about how ABC hasn't set a date for the last half of the final season of Alias. Well, I sure hope they do, because of this juicy nugget from the Ausiello Report:

Bradley Cooper isn't the only familiar Alias face returning for the show's 100th episode, airing, um, whenever ABC finds room on its schedule. I'm told that Gina Torres will reprise her role as Syd's archenemy, Anna Espinosa, in the landmark installment, which begins production next week and airs — all together now — "whenever ABC finds room on its schedule."

AHhhhhhhhhhhhh, I can't wait for the rest of Alias. They are KILLING ME. With the waiting. And I can't wait to see everyone they're bringing back.

I'm glad the new network is being formed. I doubt "The CW" will last though. The trades are saying it stands for Chuck Wollery or Can't Watch. They'll have to do something with it.
