A few questions answered | April 26, 2006
So, still no solved mysteries on Veronica Mars, but we do know that Meg's creepy parents WILL come back into it. And Lucky is important.
I also know that I hate Kendall more than I ever hated Cordelia in early seasons of Buffy. Man, is Charisma Carpenter good at being hateable.
Other than that, I don't want to give too much away, so I'll just focus on the ratings, which aren't great. It beat actually nothing on its night, except for Pepper Dennis in key demographics (although not overall). According to the futon critic:
new episodes of "Gilmore Girls" (households: 3.3/5, #11; adults 18-49: 2.0, #12) and "Pepper Dennis" (households: 1.7/3, #17; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T18) on The WB (households: 2.5/4, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #5) combined to beat a repeat of "America's Next Top Model" (households: 1.4/2, #T18; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T18) and a new "Veronica Mars" (households: 1.4/2, #T18; adults 18-49: 1.0, #17) on UPN (households: 1.4/2, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #6).
I have to hope that Dawn Ostroff, as the former head of UPN, will be smart enough to realize what a good thing she has with this show, and that she'll hang on to it. I guess we'll have to wait a couple more weeks until we know, but I am hopeful. Maybe I'm deluded, but at least it keeps me from crying.

Remember how last year CBS picked up Veronica Mars reruns for like friday nights for a few weeks? Maybe just maybe, if this CW network doesn't pick up the show that another channel like Fox, MTV, VH1, or ANY MAJOR NETWORK might pick it up instead and do right by it. It's too good a show to let die after only 2 seasons.
And if we get a cliffhanger ending and no 3rd season I will totally go Nip/Tuck Carver crazy on somebody.
Oh and speaking of Nip/Tuck... I'm ready for season 4 now please... or at least season 3 on dvd.

Glad to know that you hate Kendall just as much as I do. At the end of this week's episode I was like "oh, I hate her!". That was my only feeling about it.
Oh, and that Logan is hot.
(Dude, why do I keep saying that? It just makes me look like such a dorky 14 year old!)

Yes, Logan and Veronica are simply one of the hottest couplings to come through the boob tube for a LONG time now.
While this season has been a little disappointing, I can't decide if it's because of the scattered airings of new episodes or if the episodes themselves are scattered. Certainly, this season would probably best be viewed on DVD.
