Help me out here | August 02, 2006
I'm sure you all think I'm a huge blog slacker, but you tell me, is there anything to talk about in the world of TV that I haven't covered (to death) this summer?
I mean, there's reality TV (I now LOVE Janelle, by the way, for keeping Chill Town safe last night. On Big Brother, of course), and there's fall TV. I am not ready to talk about fall programming yet, so that leaves me with ... nothing.
Even the TV Guide podcast folks gave us a "best of" a couple of weeks ago. That has to tell you something about the state of summer TV, right?
So, let's play a new game. YOU tell ME something interesting about television that my readers might want to know. Thanks!

If you don't have it --- Hubster has a pic in this weeks TV Guide.
The boys with Bill Murray. Course I wanted my pic with Mr Murray in there but they said something about, "who the heck are you?' or some such nonsense.
Which reminds me I need to go out and buy one!

I think the smartest show on TV these days is How I Met Your Mother. It's a great ensemble cast, and has a plot that you need to follow so you can try and figure out who the mother will be.

I'm Jonesing for the new season of Nip/Tuck... and also for season 3 to come out on dvd.
I'm not watching Entourage... never have.
I'm not in love with Janelle for keeping Chill Town safe but I am now in love with James, hardcore.
I love How I Met Your Mother and can't wait for season 2.
I also am looking forward to The Class, Heroes, and I will probably fall hardcore for some other new show that will get cancelled mid season leaving all of us with a cliffhanger or something. (you know, like Reunion)
The Office is the best show in the world... well... top 3 with Veronica Mars and Nip/Tuck.
I guess that's about all I have to contribute.

Weren't you going to talk about that show "Nobody's Watching" that got dumped by UPN, then got put on youtube and now nbc is going to pick it up??? You should direct all your fans to go watch the video and see what everyone thinks. I like it myself.

I have been thinking about something lately, and wanted to see what you thought about it.
What are your thoughts about how people aren't watching shows on TV anymore, they are waiting until the come out on DVD and getting them via Netflix. Do you think that is going to change ratings and that maybe a show will get cancelled, when really everyone is watching it. They are just watching the previous season on DVD.
(Does this make sense?)
I guess this is sort of what happened with Arrested Development. I mean, I'm even to blame. We didn't start watching it until we got the DVD's from Netflix. And by that time, it was too late to Save our Bluth's.
You thoughts?
