Give 'Your Mother' a welcome-back hug | September 15, 2006

(I know I've been bad about posting this week, but I am putting together my entire TiVo lineup for new fall shows, which I'll post over the weekend. So, check back if you want to know what I'm watching -- at least to start out -- this fall! In the meantime, you can read my column if you're so inclined.)

Despite series-altering cliffhangers in last spring's finale that might doom a lesser comedy, returning hit How I Met Your Mother appears ready to avoid falling into a sophomore slump. If anything, the comedy seems reinvigorated -- smarter, sassier -- for this second go-round.

My husband and I finally started watching this show during this summer, so we were able to see all of the episodes.

WE LOVE BARNEY!

(and even more so since my brother in law is also named Barney. Crazy, I know.)

I don't think I like Lily. Is that bad of me to say? Mostly I don't like the actress that plays her. I love Marshall. He's funny!

Oh, and do you think we won't ever find out how the "mother" is??
