So, did you watch Gilmore? | September 27, 2006

Gilmore Girls did pretty well in the ratings against fierce compeition, so I think you DID watch! If so, what did you think of it?

I don't want to give too much away, but I am not as unhappy with how it's all going as one might think. I actually think it's a pretty realistic, if sometimes frustrating, situation -- which is fairly unusual for this fairytale show.

Oh, and I LOVED the Sookie scene. Melissa McCarthy is just awesome!

I have to agree, it wasn't a let down, I kept thinking I was going to watch and be disappointed (wasn't really sure where they were going to go this season), instead, I really enjoyed it. Hopefully they can keep it going.

Oh and the Sookie scene was great, she is so funny.

If I had known they were going to advance the storyline two iotas in the course of one hour, I might not have watched....

I watched last night and I also determined that I did not need to watch again. I didn't hate it, I wasn't disappointed I just found that I did not care what happened next. Ho-hum.

I am disappointed that "fans" of the show want the resolution to be an instant overnighter. Come on, now people! This is not a sitcom!!!

Honestly, I loved the way DR handled this compared to the Lorelai/Rory break-down last season. There was a beat and they stuck to it.

Surely, only the non-believers would give up this show. I, for one, am glad for some realism that didn't have to do with stupid pranks, adolescent behavior and mediocre themes. If I appreciated that, I would just go to my work place and view it for free whether I want to or not.

I'm hoping that Gilmore Girls gets some of it's fire back this season. I know there are new people at the helm and I also know this season might be their last. If the first episode was any indication, the outlook is good.
