Bad news, times two | October 31, 2006
Well, we knew this day would have to come eventually, but it's finally here: Bob Barker is retiring after 35 years on The Price is Right (also, O.C. fans should check out the name of the AP reporter who wrote that story, too).
In other bad news, YouTube's demise begins as it prepares for Google to purchase it. It's a sad, sad day for fans of Colbert. (Thanks to Jay for the link.)

I just heard about Bob Barker retiring, I can't believe it! Never mind that he's a hundred years old. Still. Do you think they'll replace him or end the show? Can there be Price is Right without Bob?

See, and I was more upset about the YouTube thing than about Bob Barker. He had to retire someday, and let's face it: Most of us haven't watched Price is Right since we were old enough to have school or jobs.

I can see it now: the U.S. population of unwanted dogs and cats will explode following Bob's retirement. The humanity!
