Hi, 24. I might love you again | October 30, 2006
I don't know if you all know this, but I stopped watching 24 last season out of boredom. Well, my sister sent me this trailer:
Which might make you FREAK out. I know I did.
And then I also found this one, which is shorter, but still awesome:
So, I think I'm back on board. Especially since it looks like they might kill Jack. I love Kiefer Sutherland (of course), but no one should be expected to save the world this many times. He deserves rest now.
(Also, I know my column isn't up from Friday. Web people at ADN are working on it. Sorry. I'll link to it when it's up, of course. Until then, I can just tell you that it is brilliantly written. Insightful. Glorious. Ha!)

I stopped last season too--just couldn't work up any enthusiasm at all for the show. But now? Maybe we'll give it another go.

I already knew that I can't wait. I was watching Best Week Ever and they all said that Jack is like Jesus this season.

I am a 24 junkie...and have loved all the seasons...last one included. I am very excited about the new season...and feel the 24 people are cruel...giving me a sneak peak now and not any actual episodes until January.
I still am not sure Jack will actually die. I am a firm believer that the powers that be at 24 will only actually kill Jack when they know the show isn't coming back because well...Jack is 24 and 24 is Jack and without Kiefer...I am not sure how well the show would do.
But...I think it would be great writing and a bold choice to have Jack die, preferrably mid-season and have the rest of the characters still have to save the day.

it would take balls that fox doesnt have to kill off jack.. unless, like the other guy said, they are planning on ending the show. i really hope they dont do that. who knows though.. they have always loved killing off anyone else so maybe he is next.

I guess you must have been watching TOO MUCH crappy REALITY TV, because last season was a GREAT season, probably the best of all the seasons, oh and it DID WIN the BEST DRAMA at the EMMYS too .. . . . .

Glenn, I disagree. I know it won, but I think that was kind of a "lifetime achievement" Emmy. I think it's never been as good as its first season, and it never really can be again. It was unrealistic even then, but it was original. Now it's still unrealistic, and it's harder to be original.
There are awesome things about it, no doubt: the acting, mostly. But a) I'm not a huge fan of plot-driven and b) complete lack of reality/time line bugs.
That said, I know it's hugely popular, and I'm considering watching again.
