The thing about last night's episode of Heroes is that I dreaded this whole look back six months thing, but then I went ahead and LOVED it. It advanced the plot so much, answered many questions (Sylar IS killing people to take their powers; he IS bad), and just completely entertained.
I think the biggest mysteries surround Claire's dad/Horned Rim Glasses, the Haitian, and the pixie girl. What kind of crazy team of anti-heroes are they? Or ARE they?
And how is Niki's split personality a power? I know Jessica (her dead sister ... what?!) has super strength, but how is being MEAN and a KILLER a power. Maybe she's bad, too?
Anyway, here's Sylar (TV veteran Zachary Quinto), if you want to watch him in last night's episode all over again:

So, I didn't catch the dates on Jessica's tombstone. Was she about the same age as Niki? Cause it seems kind of odd that she wouldn't remember dad coming home and whaling away on sis.
Also, if Hiro can't use his powers to change things in the past, are we supposed to believe there is something bigger in control of things?

I liked the episode a lot more than I thought I would, too. I am very disappointed in Sylar's identity, though. I feel like it was a cop-out, to have it be someone we hadn't already met. Everyone was guessing at who it was, and none of us was right. Boooo.
The stuff with Peter and his brother was very powerful and well-done. And I am happy that we find Mr. Bennett to be a multifaceted character. I'm really just loving this show.

Niki has split personality disorder. I know this, because I am smart. And also because she basically admitted it. When she was talking about all the stuff that Niki doesn't remember, because Jessica was "there" when it happened, because Niki couldn't handle it, and blah blah (now THAT'S a run-on sentence). Anyway, I'm going to guess that Jessica was Niki's twin, but is also the name of the "other" that Niki created. And since it seems something bad triggers the heroes becoming heroes (because of Ted's conversation with radioactive guy last week), I'm going to guess that the Jessica personality got the power, because she is the one who is there when bad things happen to Niki.
Am I the only one who read Sybil?

See- I felt a little disapointed with the episode. I am not sure why, but I think itmay be the hype of their advertising. I have actually felt a little down the past 2 weeks, but still love the show.
My heart broke for Hiro!
I too think Jessica and Niki were twins. I also think he did more then whale on her based how everyone was.

I gotta agree with Darcy, Niki did seem to have MPD...or Disassociative disorder now. To answer Jay, the tombstone would've made Jessica 11 (if I had done the math right...I think).
My heart broke for Hiro too. I felt so bad for him!
But I did like this episode although I did ruin it for myself by searching the web to see who Sylar really was going to be.

I'm about 3 weeks behind. I need to find the time to sit down and watch them all!! I love this show.
(and let's talk about this week's VM episode. I loved it. It felt like the old VM was back again. HOORAY.)
(I did hate the part where VM and Logan broke up.)
(Of course.)

This show hooks me just that more with each successive episode. I love the ambiguity of each hero. It forces us to question the default hero-as-good perspective that we were all raised to believe.
I'm counting the hours until the next episode.

I liked the episose. Chandra Suresh really is like Xavier, part of me thinks that Sylar is turning into Magneto, the us against them mentality. The only thing that is different is that Sylar wants their powers, not join with them... alive.

This was a rare example of a flashback episode that did work and provide answers. See, that Lost? It can be done!
By the way, did you get my email about Friday Night Lights? I thought for certain you'd be eager to dish!:)
