Raymond father Peter Boyle dies | December 13, 2006

I never watched Everybody Loves Raymond. (literally. Not one time.) But I sure enjoyed Boyle's performance as a despicable character in Monster's Ball. And I liked him in Where the Buffalo Roam, even though I didn't love that movie.

And, until today, I didn't know he studied to become a monk before turning to acting.

I was deeply saddened to read of his passing. I love, love, loved him in While You Were Sleeping. I too found the monk thing fascinating. :)

He made me laugh. I was sad he is no longer with us.

He will be missed! He was so funny and cranky on Raymond, I loved him and that show.
