« Bye-bye O.C. | Main | Women ... apparently not funny »

SAG Awards | January 05, 2007

OK, so the SAG Award nominations were announced yesterday, and I posted instead about The O.C. I know my news judgment rocks.

Anyway, the nominations did not make me unhappy. I was ecstatic, for instance, about Michael C. Hall's nomination for Dexter, America Ferrera's for Ugly Betty, and Jason Lee's and Jaime Pressly's for My Name is Earl.

I have to admit I was the most happy about Ryan Gosling's nomation for Half Nelson, though. Mainly because it was my favorite performance in a movie this year, and those Golden Globe people apparently forgot to watch it.

What did you think? Complete list follows.

Helen Mirren was wonderful in Elizabeth I, and I haven't seen The Queen but I am sure she is great there too.

Half Nelson - I'd seen the previews then completely forgot about it until now, I'll have to check it out when it is released on DVD.

Also I agree with you about Michael C Hall and America Ferrera, both good nods.

Hey, did you watch "The Knights of Prosperity"? We liked it at our house. Just wondering what you thought...

(I should have just sent you an e-mail. Sorry for asking this in a comment.)

Okay..I just read over the list. Did you see "Broken Trail"? I did. And while it was entertaining...I wouldn't think it would have been nominated for so many awards. What gives?
