Sadness | February 18, 2007
So, sad first elimination on the premiere of The Amazing Race: All Stars (by the way, could someone please explain why the all-star season didn't need a two-hour premiere?). I was hoping it would be Dustin and Kandice or Rob and Amber -- but then I didn't even hate Rob and Amber last night. I'm certainly not rooting for them, but they were nice and funny. Especially Rob, with having the shuttle wait for Danny and Oswald (one of my favorite teams).
All in all, the episode was a little ho-hum. I think I built this moment up too much or something, because it was sort of anti-climactic. (So, if you tuned it at my constant nagging and weren't overwhelmed, well ... just wait. It will get better. I have faith.)

I was disappointed that John Vito and Jill were the first. I was hoping it would be Kevin and Drew. Hello, Peru?! Now I want Oswald and Danny to win. Are they not a couple?

I was a little underwhelmed by the first episode, too. I'm also thinking the All-Star cast leaves a bit to be desired, but we'll see after a few more episodes.

Danny and Oswald are NOT a couple. They were friends when they ran season 2 to a fourth-place finish, too. And then I guess they were estranged, now they're a couple again.
I heart them. They were so fun in season 2.
