Sanjaya ... so bad he's good? | March 22, 2007
So, I presume you saw the little crying girl watching the horrific singing of Sanjaya Malakar on American Idol (or at least read about it). If not, watch it here:
Now, if that isn't enough, this girl is becoming semifamous. You can watch her here on the Today show, where you'll also find that her appearance on the show was completely manipulated by the producers. Surprise, surprise.
So, my question is this: Why does she get her 15 minutes of fame for CRYING?! I have been a cryer my entire life and the best thing it's ever gotten me is sympathy. And usually it doesn't even get that. NO FAIR!
(Side note: I have Sanjaya in my AI pool, so I'm continuing to hope he sticks around. That said, I have not voted. Yet. But I'm not above it.)

So my friend told me last night that there's this website out called votefortheworst.com or something like that and that's why people have kept him in. And quite possibly how Taylor Hicks won last year. BOO! My money is on Blake to win it this year. I haven't voted yet either, but after hearing about this website I may have to start.

Did I tell you about this girl? Because I talked about her a few times the day after I watched it. It was absolutely ridiculous, and a good indicator of why popular music sucks these days. Kids are spoiled, and kids like crappy music.

Let me just state that I believe that Sanjaya is the American Idol Angel of Death. Sitting next to him on stage probably requires a preemptive does of Xanax. I truly believe that Sanjaya's dad has paid a village of Indians to pray for him, like that dad did in Spellbound.
By the way, my fiancee has proposed a nickname for Melinda Doolittle: Mildew.

I saw on The View yesterday (I don't usually watch this show. I SWEAR.) that the reason he's still on is that Howard Stern is asking all of his fans to vote for him.
Either way, it's too bad that they are playing with someones emotions like this. I would HATE to have all of America making fun of me on national television.
