Check Out Previews of the Fall Shows | June 09, 2007
In the spirit of openness with which many of the TV networks are now approaching the internet, ABC has made previews of its fall shows and mid-season replacements available from their website. ABC of course, has been at the forefront on internet video, allowing its audience to watch full episodes of its most popular shows online. In fact, for much of this season, the episodes of Lost would air without commercials if you just waited a couple days. The other networks are getting there, but they just don't get it the way ABC does.

WAIT. What do you think of Traveler? I LOVE IT. LOVE. But we can't find the 2nd episode anywhere. We've seen the 1st and 3rd. WTF?

I linked to those way back at Upfronts time, too (although that post is much more difficult to navigate than this one, because I wrote WAY TOO MUCH and had WAY TOO MANY links).
However, CW and Fox also offer previews. They all do. I think it's a fun change.
(I didn't watch "Traveler." How's it doing, ratings-wise? Should I start?)

I didn't see Traveler, either. Maybe it's worth a shot, though? I thought I remembered you linking to those previews back then, Deann, but I hadn't been able to visit them back then. Then when I went to ABC's site, I was just so impressed. I just am in love with ABC's internet strategy. I can't think of another network that even comes close. Speaking of TV and internet strategies, have any of you heard of Joost? It's the company from the guys who made Skype and Kazaa that Viacom has invested itself in after washing its hands of Youtube. I have invitations available for anyone who wants to try it out.

What? I thought ER was all over. Oh well.
So, so glad that The Class is returning. I bloody love that show. Also: Yay for the Unit returning. I have me a crush on Bob!

The CBS link was a bad link (to the 2006 fall previews). I fixed it. "The Class" is NOT coming back, unfortunately.

I agree - ABC "gets it" online. At first they did not have full screen for their shows, and then they made that change and the ABC player is great. I am now a fan of "Brothers and Sisters" because all the episodes are online!
