I'm concerned the second season of Heroes will be a letdown, but one very interesting bit of casting news came out over the weekend.
Kristen Bell of the dearly departed Veronica Mars has been added to the cast, though the number of episodes she'll appear in hasn't been announced. Heroes, which premieres Sept. 24, won an apparent recruiting battle for Bell, who reportedly was asked to join the cast of Lost as well.
HBO recently re-aired the episodes of Deadwood in which Bell appeared, which led me to re-watch her guest spot on The Shield, and after that I had to go ahead and watch the extended version of the Veronica Mars pilot again.
So I really, really hope this role on Heroes is a meaty one.
(And did you catch the odd coincidence that Bell's character on Heroes will be named Elle, and Bell is rumored to be taking over the lead role in the Broadway production of Legally Blonde? Hmmm ...)

I agree...I hope it's a meaty character. She deserves it. I was SO looking forward to seeing her on "Lost". I wasn't going to continue watching "Heroes"...but I guess I will now.
And Broadway? Good for her!!

Just finished watching season 2 of VM. LOVE IT. And yes, I know I'm way behind the times. If only season 3 would come out on dvd. Love Heroes so I'm really glad we'll be seeing her again. (& my husband will be too ;) )

TV Guide's Ausiello, in an interview with Bell, says it's currently a 13-episode gig (basically the first half of the season).

I'm VERY excited about this. And I AM watching "Mad Men." And you weren't going to keep watching Heroes, Isabel? Wha...?!
